Cheltenham Races

This project tells the story of the agony and ecstasy of the timeless people who attend the horse racing in my home town of Cheltenham, UK. The anticipation builds during the open paddock before each race, before people take to the stands and the murmur intensifies to a roar at the start. The palpable hope on the faces of the thousands of people in the crowd gradually changes to either agony or ecstasy, with shouts of happiness or despair punctuating the air.
